- Artist: Mu Chun
- Medium(s): Chinese ink and Mixed Media
- Born in: Zhejiang, China
- Exhibitions List

Mu Chun, trained in traditional Chinese calligraphy and ink painting, creates abstract landscapes and calligraphy through mixed media and ink. Using the brush techniques he learned from traditional Chinese ink, Mu Chun is able to draw out the delicacy and spontaneity of ink to produce contemporary works that maintain the integrity of his traditional training.
Often working in monotone grays and blacks, Mu Chun’s works are constructed through a balance of negative space and a layering of scenes and perspectives. The texture of his brushstrokes create movement and tension between the different patterns, plants, and flowers that he depicts.
Mu Chun currently teaches Fine Arts at the International College of Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. He graduated with a B.A. from the China Academy of Art and then went on to complete his Master’s Degree at the Shanghai University Fine Arts College. He has shown his works in Spain, Tokyo, and at the Liu Hai Su Museum in Shanghai.
