In 2008, he became a Visiting Professor of wood sculpture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China.
His “My Forest” series was created during his early arrival in France when he knew no one there. It was inspired by “beautiful memories of Taiwan” and evokes a sense of nostalgia and history. From that series, he movedon to explore a different theme, in which the materials used to make thesculpture are also used to express the spatial aspect of abstract art,as opposed to the emotional. His latest works are grooved and linear, symbols themselves of the geometry and science of art.
